Anthony O. Miller
A native of Indianapolis, Indiana and a resident of
the Washington Metropolitan Area for many years. Presently
employed at the Washington Hospital Center, in the Department
of Cardiology, he started in this business of Art management
in the mid-80's working with close friend (like brothers)
Karl J. Graham, of The Graham Collection. Through working
with the Graham Collection, he learned the skills necessary
to operate a gallery, identify talents in artists and recognize
quality art.
When starting out, they worked as a team doing home based
shows as well as various artist markets, i.e. The Black Memorabilia
Show in Washington, D.C., The Black Doll Show, AFRAM in Baltimore,
Maryland and the Juneteenth Festival at the Anacostia Museum.
In 1994, The Graham Collection Gallery was opened and operated
a successful Art gallery in the Adams Morgan section of DC,
and later relocated to the Brook land/Catholic University
area.
Anthony's expertise has grown to include creating Art events,
and played a key role in the creation of such annual events
as The Christmas in October, which showcased the works of
local and national artists and the Brook land Artist Day Event,
showcasing artists living in the Brook land/Catholic University
area. Anthony has worked closely with many talented artists.
He helped them to develop their skills, recognize their talents,
enhance their potential, and increased their confidence.
These experiences have played a part of instilling in him
an acute awareness and understanding of how a viable and successful
gallery can be operated as a community base for the people
and the artists. |

Luis Peralta
As co-owner of The Miller Peralta Gallery and an artist
myself, my mission is to promote artists and to help educate
a new generation of collectors.
I started my career as an artist at 16 when I was commissioned
by the fitness franchise "Body by Jakes" to design
and paint a mural. Through scholarships provided by the
Corcoran School of Arts I began my academic artistic training
while in the 11th grade. I have managed my own career as
an artist, handling every financial aspect and tapping into
the many sources of income provided to artists.
I have taught fine arts classes at Wilson High School,
Deal Middle School, the Art and Media House and conducted
workshops at Bell Multicultural High School. I have created
art for private individuals as well as public institutions,
such as Neighbors Consejo, DC commissions of the Arts, the
Latin American Youth Center, the Columbia Height Metro Station,
Brookland CUA Metro station, the New Convention Center in
DC, and Taft Junior High School.
I'm now employed by the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center.
I oversee the Visitors Services department, scheduling staff,
balancing the budget and insuring quality services to visitors.
I also install our permanent and donated exhibits, selecting
items for display, arranging the artifacts, and creating
signage. Thus my career has given me a wide ranging experience
of the art world.
