Born and raised in Washington DC, Shaunte` Gates had a vision as a young
Child that one day, he would become a great artist. Combing present experience
With childhood memories that reflect history and show his rise through time is how
Shaunte`s paintings come to life. Shaunte` is a master of collage in his work.

Shaunte` is a laid back "Gemini" (13 June), who is open to all types of music - old
School is favored. Curtis Mayfield and Bob Marley are his favorites. Shaunte`s mission, is to inspire hope and a vision of life's beauty through the eyes of a young Inner-city black man's experience. His personality is much like his works, moving and Memorable.

Shaunte` Gates has shown his works in galleries throughout the Washington, DC metro area, and in the New York City area.
